Joining the Starr Lab

Why Utah?

If you are interested in protein evolution, viruses, and immunity, we are looking to grow!

We’re just as excited to work with somebody who has expertise in one of our lab’s interests as somebody who is eager to add new expertise.

We value the input of diverse backgrounds and perspectives, and we welcome those who will contribute to an inclusive and collaborative culture.

Postdoctoral Fellows

We are excited to support the scientific development of postdoctoral fellows in pursuit of diverse career trajectories. Please contact Tyler by email, and include a CV, contact information for references, and a cover letter that includes a description of your goals for postdoctoral training in terms of experimental focus and training and career outcomes.

Graduate Students

We welcome students from the Molecular Biology and Biological Chemistry graduate programs to contact Tyler to discuss rotation possibilities and how training in the Starr Lab could support your training goals.
